Duthie Park, Sep ’15

Duthie Park, Aberdeen - Emma's Picture Postcards

Autumn has definitely arrived here in Aberdeen – it’s been a rubbish summer anyway, but from 1st September there’s been a noticeable chill in the air. The sun came out on Sunday though, so we decided to make the most of it and go for a walkย in Duthie Park.

Not only is it a pretty and relaxing place to wander round, but it also has the Winter Gardens – a big complex of greenhouses, full of beautiful flowers and hot weather plants like cacti.

Being in this room really made me look forward to my holiday next month! Autumn will be just fine with a sunny break in the middle ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Autumn has arrived here in the Borders too – trees are starting to get their autumn colours and the blackbirds have stripped my rowan tree of all its berries! Brambles are also nearly ready to pick. Looking forward to some Florida sunshine!

  2. I don’t miss that Autumn chill that seems to descend everywhere on 1st September. I’m looking forward to my first sunny Autumn over in California- it’s still summer here (not to rub it in-sorry!). Duthie Park looks so pretty though- a great place for an Autumn stroll.

    • Haha aw that’s ok, if I’d just moved to California I’d be shouting about it! Enjoy, and thanks for stopping by ๐Ÿ™‚
